This weeks theme is "High Flyer"!!! I absolutely LOVE travelling and holidays!!! For some, packing is a chore but for me I get secretly excited. I love thinking about what I'll wear and picking out accessories is always a challange because I strugle to leave any at home. I think when traveling, comfortability is a must!

Rhythmic Thoughts

Today's Rhythmic Thoughts are inspired by one of my best friends, who sadly lives too far away...lately I've been missing her so much more than usual. For so many years I took for granted the ability to walk out my front door and be at hers without 10 minutes having past....oh what I'd give to be able to do that again, even if just for today...

Close To You

To voice the pain of your absence
that overwhelms and consumes me inside,
would prove to be impossible
I can only tell it with my eyes.

The frustration, tension and loneliness I feel
involuntarily makes me weak.
I hold on until it hurts,
my release wets my cheek.

As it leaves the safe haven of my soul
my emotions engulf my being
fat drops of love
blur my vision, restrict me from seeing

Thoughts of you flood my mind
Loud enough for my soul to hear
Right now, this is as close as I can be to you,
So, I dare not wipe that tear.

Rhythmic Thoughts

I really love to write, especially poetry. There's just something about telling a story in Rhyme that sits well with me. It flows so easily and it's almost therapeutic or something... anyway whatever it is I like it and I've decided I want to do more of it and often, so here are my rhythmic thoughts...

Four Seasons

I wake to God's promises kept in the rising of the sun,

His splendor brings me to my knees

As I bow my head to begin my day

His promise of today is still as fresh in my mind as a summer's breeze

The golden hue of autumn reflects the warmth felt within me

Tears fall from my eyes like autumn leaves

Never has the bare tree held such significance

And I find myself yet again on my knees.

My soul is warm and glowing

Resistant to even the darkness of winter's chill

My saviour's love covers me like a blanket

keeping my soul warmer still

My senses experience God overwhelmingly

As I close my eyes and breathe in deep

Spring has blossomed and like the flowers, 

It brings the scent of new creation so fresh, so sweet...

I see a pattern forming...

Ok, so second post for what was supposed to be a frequently visited spot with semi constant updates...ha! FAIL already! Anyway, lets try again. I think once I actually figure out how to use the internet properly and manage to navigate my own blog page I might have a better chance at success!!!!
How sad is that, I sound like my dad....computer illiterate....well maybe not computer illiterate, just internet illiterate! Right, so instead of being ignorant to my incompetency I will embrace it and things can only get better from here....surely?

A first for everything....

So, after much procrastination and technology illiterate frustration, I have started a blog!!! All thanks to my dear friend Dina :)


So the aim is to actually use this and maintain a fairly consistent entry pattern....let's see how it goes...


P.S - bare with me, I'm new at all of this but hopefully with each new post it'll start to suck a little less!
